you cant think only doctors and engineers can live in this world.. someone dont take much interest in A/L but they have other capacities,,
even if u select to medicine or e faculty you want to face so many challenges..

I think the main reason is not being HUMBLE or MODEST or MEEKNESS.

I.e If the student is ready to humbly accept that the A/L is a totally different entity and the path of success is totally different and if they understand that O/L results don't have a big impact on the A/L results, they will surely get good results.

Because, the humbleness will help them to listen to experiences of those who already got through the A/L examination with good results and acquire that advice to their life.

But if you are not that humble and if you think that "O/L results matters, I got good results for O/L, so I will get good results for A/L. I don't have to listen to those who got good results because I'm different and I can do it", you are falling into a deep well.

If I go on describing everything from top to bottom, i.e A/L beginning to the end, it is not possible to answer in few paragraphs.
There are already many topics where we have discussed things related to A/L exam success. You can read them and doing the opposite of it will lead the student to the failure.

I think we must understand that everyone is not the same...
Nobody is perfect... Every good thing has some bad, and every bad thing may have some good... That's the truth of life...

Some teachers may look down at a student and it DOES affect the student's confidence level...
Psychology says if the people around you think you can do it, you will have more confidence...

But still, if people don't realize your true worth, just work silently and success will make the noise... it's best to be humble and show your amazing results as a result of hard work to world, than to show-off and boast about yourself and then finally hide in shame when the results are out...
I am saying this 'cause I know many who shined in O/Ls and bragged on in A/Ls without being humble only to get poor results afterwards....

Just some piece of advice I just felt like saying...even I am a student!!!
So forgive me if my opinions are not compatible with yours...

Parents never think that their own children to go in a wrong route. But, what about teachers?
We all have spent 13 plus years in our school life.
What's the use of a 3A, Merit student who does not posses good qualities?
If he/she be a Doctor, "Operation Success; but, Patient Dead", If he/she be an Engineer, "Yes!It's a beautiful building;but, No Concrete" ............
We had many news about Cheating Doctors and Engineers. Their Certificates are cancelled and they are put in Solitary Confinements. This is what happens because of the nasty way of life in their A/L Lives.
A/L is the edge of Maturity. A/L is the edge of Decency. A/L is the edge of Honesty. a/L is the edge of Gentlemanship.
Children's hearts are always pure; teachers must not be prone websites to them. They must be their "Walk of Life".

Teachers "should be" our role models...but they aren't always...
We were taught not to lie by our parents and teachers... but don't they?
and so, don't we too?

But again, there are teachers good at teaching but bad in character and vice versa... and there are bad at teaching and bad at character....
And of course, there are indeed teachers good at teaching and good at character....
You see, variations exists and it is nature....
Everyone is not the same, and we cannot expect everyone to be good and nice and happy all the time...
We have to play our part, behave ourselves, train our sisters and brothers and friends to the correct path, but we cant really do anything to stop the major crimes in the world... I am not being negative here... I am just saying the reality...
We have police to control crime, not to eliminate it....
Because elimination of crime from the entire world is just so less probable...

Parents, Teachers and Friends who a person associates with will affect his/her character...
Sometimes even if parents are good and teachers are good, still if friends are bad, then there is a possibility to go astray...


This is an ideal teacher. And ideal teachers do exist. But it is very very rare....
But I had/have teachers who fit your description, and I am proud to have them as my teachers... but I also had/have teachers who don't ,so I realized that nobody is perfect and nobody is innocent...
I wish there were more teachers who are genuinely teaching instead of being just money minded...

We hatta blame those money minded teachers only. I am also so lucky to have best and good natured teachers. And, I am also very unlucky to have the another kind of teachers. You're right. Nobody is perfect in this world!
These words of mine came from my heart ....cuz, My friends and me had those nasty incidents which are unforgettable in our lives.
We liked the teacher so much...We've thought that he would be the best ever.....We've studied and understood his words of teaching so easily....Moreover, he was our hero once. Actually, he was very best in teaching his students.
Unfortunately, one day...we've became to know that he was only good in teaching, not in behaviours.
We all got astonished in his day of the reveal. Yes, he revealed his self from a goat to a wolf. Everybody hated him as how much we loved him. But, I couldn't......
He was my favourite one.....How could I hate such a person? We've trusted him. But, he betrayed us in everything.
My friends do not call him as "sir". But, I do even, he has done much to me than them. His harsh sentences are went deeper into my heart. And, that could not be deleted ever.

There may be students like me who are affected by their fav teachers. Who would say "NO"?
I always pray the Omnipotent, to give our younger siblings atleast, better teachers.
